Embed in Notion
Embed a Discord channel or thread when the conversation explains a Notion page. The embed is read-only and keeps recent Discord context beside the work.
Launch notes
Final checklist, owner, and release notes stay in Notion.
Add it from Discord
Use this when you are already in the channel or thread you want to embed.
- Run
/embed-discordin that Discord channel or thread. - Choose the Notion page that should receive the embed.
- Submit the command. NotiCord adds the Discord embed to the page.
/embed-discord is available to NotiCord owners and admins. The target Notion page must be shared with the NotiCord integration.
Add it from NotiCord
Use this when you want to add the embed from the NotiCord dashboard.
- Under Discord in the NotiCord sidebar, open Embeds.
- Choose the Discord channel or thread.
- Choose the Notion page that should receive the embed.
- Click Insert Discord embed. NotiCord adds the Discord embed to that page.
To place it yourself, copy the visible Embed link with the icon at the end of the field. In Notion, type /embed, paste the link, and click Embed link if Notion asks. Use Preview embed to check it first.
What readers see
| Embed behavior | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Recent activity | Opens on recent messages and lets readers display older messages when more history is available. |
| Discord content | Shows message text, replies, links, attachments, reactions, stickers, supported Discord embeds, and NotiCord card-style messages. |
| Read-only cards | Buttons and dropdowns on Discord cards are visible for context, but they do not run actions inside the embed. |
| Private threads | If a reader has workspace access but is not in the private thread, the embed can show Join private thread. |
If the embed shows a permissions error, use Fix missing Discord channel permissions.
