February 17, 2026 - Notion Picker Stability

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Duplicate Notion database entries removed - Database pickers now de-duplicate data sources that point to the same Notion database, preventing duplicate-key warnings and intermittent picker instability on Rules and Task Database setup screens.

🚀 Improvements

• Less prominent trial heading on sign-in - Reduced visual weight of the Start free trial line so the brand and Continue with Discord action are easier to scan.
• Checkout terms consent restored - Stripe Checkout now explicitly requires accepting Terms before subscription confirmation and shows links to Terms of Use and Privacy Policy in the consent text.
• Cancellation status clarity in Billing - If you cancel in Stripe Customer Portal, Billing now shows Cancellation scheduled and the exact Access Ends date.

February 13, 2026 - Trial Start Page Refresh

🚀 Improvements

• Trial upgrade billing simplified - If you add payment during an active trial, the trial now ends immediately and your paid subscription starts right away.
• Cleaner trial sign-in screen - Removed extra onboarding text from the trial start page so the Discord sign-in CTA stays the primary focus.
• Simpler in-app checkpoint layout - Removed extra interactive elements and kept only minimal helper copy with inline setup links.
• Simpler notifications empty state - Shortened the first-time rules screen to one setup sentence plus a compact timing note.
• Unified setup banner across dashboard pages - Added a consistent Setup Required banner with a direct Go to setup link, and removed the Tasks-page redirect to Settings when setup is incomplete.

• In-app support panel - A new bottom-right support button opens a simple form where you can send issue summary/details and optional attachments.

• Richer troubleshooting context - Support requests now include helpful metadata (for example current page and account context) to speed up diagnosis.
• Docs/landing support shortcut - Documentation and landing pages now show a floating Support button that opens the support desk directly.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Daily schedule timing - Daily scheduled alerts and digests now run only during the configured hour instead of later in the day if the schedule was missed.
• Run time updates - Changing a daily run time to a later hour schedules another run the same day, while earlier/past hours wait until the next day.

• Scheduled Alerts (MVP) - Check a Notion database on a schedule and notify Discord when something changes. Useful for time-based reminders like "Due in 24h" formulas.
• Post preview to Discord - Send a preview message without changing the alert schedule or baseline.

• Formula update clarity - Notification rule docs now clarify that formula-only recalculations do not trigger Notion update events.
• Scheduled alert limits - Solo plans allow 1 scheduled alert (daily). Team plans allow up to 5 (hourly or daily).

🚀 Improvements

• Reconnect prompt for expired Notion tokens - If a Notion token is invalid, the app now guides you to reconnect instead of showing a generic error.
• Task feature callout in rules - When a database is not connected as a Task Database, the rule editor now shows a callout under the database picker with a direct link to enable task features.
• Unnamed property labels - If a Notion property has no name, NotiCord now shows a fallback label based on the property type.
• Discord mention pings - The Discord mentions toggle now controls pinging while @mentions still render in cards (author excluded from pings).
• Mentions in command cards - Command responses now show linked users as @mentions in people fields like Assignee.
• Faster task form - Opening the task creation form is quicker, especially for databases with linked pages.

🚀 Improvements

• Re-auth in Notion embeds - If your session expires inside an embedded Discord viewer, you'll now see a "Sign in again" prompt to recover without leaving Notion. Browsers that block third-party cookies may still require occasional re-login.
• Clearer viewer permission errors - When the viewer can't read a channel, it now shows the exact missing permissions. A direct channel link appears only when you already have access (for example, when the bot is missing permissions).
• Viewer footer links - The viewer now includes a slim footer with quick links to NotiCord, help docs, and the community Discord (no chat widget).

• Created + Updated Together - Notification rules can now watch both Created and Updated events at the same time (default: both).
• Page Sources - Create rules for standalone pages, with optional subpage coverage (direct children or all descendants).
• Update Types - Updated rules can now notify on content changes, property changes, or both.
• Discord Mentions Toggle - Notification rules now convert linked Notion mentions into Discord @mentions (default on), including people fields like Assignee. The person who triggered the change is excluded to prevent self-pings.

🚀 Hard Limit Enforcement

Notifications now stop when you reach your monthly limit, giving you complete control over costs. You'll see a warning at 80% usage, and can upgrade anytime to resume notifications. Commands and quick actions continue to work regardless of usage.

• Notification History - View the last 7 days of notification attempts with success/failure status. Filter by rule to debug issues.

• Permission Warnings - Notification rules now show "Missing Permissions" badges when the bot can't post to Discord channels, with links to fix the issue.

November 13, 2025 - Commands, Confirmations, and Notification UX

✨ New Features

• Custom Task Creation Command Names - Customize the slash command for creating tasks in each database. Use /bug, /feature, /task-report, or any name you want instead of /create-task. Other commands (/my-tasks, /find, /help) stay the same.

• Customizable Task Creation Confirmations - Control what appears in the confirmation message after creating a task from Discord. Choose which fields to display (action message, title, task content, or any property) and which quick action buttons to show. Want no confirmation at all? Just unselect everything!

🚀 Improvements

• Simpler Command Names - All commands are now top-level instead of /notion subcommands. Use /create-task, /my-tasks, /find, /help, and /link-account directly. Commands are easier to discover and faster to type. Old /notion command will be automatically removed when the bot updates.

• Hide Action Message and Title - Exclude the action message ("Someone created...") and title from notification cards. Great for content-only notifications.

• Richer Content - Notion content now renders properly in Discord with headings, lists, code blocks, quotes, and user mentions. Content limit increased from 200 to 2000 characters.

• Better Channel Picker - Channel dropdowns now show categories (e.g., "SUPPORT / #help-desk") and warn about missing permissions.

🎨 UI/UX Improvements

• Better Dropdown Visibility - MultiSelect dropdowns in task database and notification rule pages now have thicker borders and stronger shadows.

• Property Highlighting - Status properties now show a "Recommended" tag in task database configuration.

• Cleaner Property Lists - Removed redundant type labels from property dropdowns since emojis already show property types.

• Account Access - Fixed issue where non-owner users couldn't create their own subscription if linked to someone else's workspace.
